Surprise!!! The baby's going to come before New Year's

Today was my first doctor's appointment in Lethbridge. I was referred by my family doctor to the doctor that I saw in Lethbridge because of the risks involved in having a baby in Brooks at a Hospital that is short staffed in obstetrical care. I was planning on having a V-BAC throughout my entire pregnancy and thought it would be a good option...after all recovery from a section takes longer. My bubble burst when the doctor gave me more info on what could happen with a V-BAC and if problems happen. So, Monday I'm meeting with the surgeon to find out when the big day is...it is nice to know that I won't have to experience labor this time. All that yoga, down the drain. Isn't that supposed to prepare a woman for labor. Oh well, I haven't been very diligent about doing it anyway...I think there's dust on it from a few months of disuse, lol. It probably won't be two months before I post again. Don't worry. Till next time.

logical answer

Ok, I'm inspired. I guess I needed a little kick in the butt by some friends to get started! I'm now 29 weeks pregnant, and feeling on the whole...pretty good. A little annoyed when I can't squeeze my way through places that I thought I could and have to go around, but hey! It's only for a few more months. I can handle that. We had an ultrasound back in August and well, I was curious to know if I was having a boy or girl. When I met with the doctor following and I asked about it. He said that there was a question mark there. Bummer. Well, it's a surprise then. Some of my family members have there theroies that it will be a boy. But, I won't go there. lol If they want to comment, all the power to them. Anyways...I'd ask the kids "do you think it will be a boy or a girl?" Rachel could be happy with anything that moves and Ben said "It will be a surprise, mom!" Until last night. We were just finished reading stories before bedtime and I felt the baby kick, so I asked him he wanted to feel it. Then he said "I think it will be a boy. Maybe it's a pattern. Boy, girl, boy, girl." There's logic for you! He's learning about patterns in school, I think he's got it!
